You change existing properties and create additional access services by:
Editing the access service library configuration file that resides on the DirectConnect Server
Using DirectConnect Manager for Microsoft Windows 95 and Windows 98
If you edit the configuration file, you must stop and restart the server for the changes to take effect. The instructions in this chapter describe how to edit the access service library configuration file.
If you use DirectConnect Manager, you can configure access service properties and dynamically change many properties without stopping and starting the server. For information about installing DirectConnect Manager, see the DirectConnect Installation Guide for Enterprise Connect IPS.
We recommend you use DirectConnect Manager to configure the access service library.
The access service library uses some configuration information from the server. For instructions about configuring DirectConnect Server properties, see the DirectConnect Server Administration Guide.
