Five Options

Adaptive Server Enterprise

The Adaptive Server Enterprise option provides the reliable, scalable, and high-performance benefits of Adaptive Server and a set of tools and applications that enhance and extend Adaptive Server capabilities.

With the Adaptive Server Enterprise option, you can:

Use third-party security mechanisms to secure the connection between client applications and Adaptive Server
Create and print sophisticated reports
Create thin-client, dynamic, database-driven Web application servers that use your Adaptive Server database as a Web repository
Manage your database system using the Sybase Central graphical interface
Create custom client applications written in Java or C++
Create custom server applications
Connect to other Sybase products, including Adaptive Server Anywhere, Adaptive Server IQ, and custom Open Server applications
Create global transactions so that the work of a single transaction can be processed at multiple sites
Use sophisticated queries to search text in your database
