[-] Generating an extraction script

Generating an extraction script

When you populate a data warehouse, you fill columns in the data warehouse with data from columns in operational databases. You do this by executing an extraction script. The extraction script extracts data periodically from columns in the operational databases and updates the columns in the data warehouse.

Table optionsTable options indicate the tables for which you want to generate an extraction script.

You have the following table options:

Option

Description

All Tables

Generate an extraction script for all tables in the WAM

List

Generate an extraction script for selected tables in the WAM

Database optionsDatabase options indicate the external databases for which you want to generate an extraction script.

You have the following database options:

Option

All databases

Generate an extraction script for all external databases

List

General optionsGeneral options indicate the format of database generation scripts.

The availability of these options depends on the target database. Unavailable options appear in gray and you cannot select them.

Check model

Check the WAM before generating the database or script, and stop generation if an error is found
