| Generating an extraction script |
You have the following table options:

| All Tables
| Generate an extraction script for all tables in the WAM
|
| List
| Generate an extraction script for selected tables in the WAM
|
You have the following database options:

| Generate an extraction script for all external databases

| Generate an extraction script for selected external databases
|
The availability of these options depends on the target database. Unavailable options appear in gray and you cannot select them.

| Non-accented characters replace non-accented characters in script

| Script refers to objects by their codes

| Windows (ANSI)
| Script uses ANSI character set
|
| DOS (OEM)
| Script uses DOS character set
|
| Add titles
| Each section of the script includes commentary in the form of titles (for example, Database Name: TUTORIAL)
|
| ODBC syntax
| Generates script in ODBC syntax instead of DBMS-specific syntax. This option based on the ODBC.DEF file allows you to preview the commands the PowerDesigner sends when it creates or modify a database via an ODBC driver

| Check model
| Check the WAM before generating the database or script, and stop generation if an error is found
|
The Extraction Script Generation dialog box appears.

Select the List radio button, click the Question Mark button, select tables, and click OK.
or
Select the List radio button, click the Question Mark button, select external databases, and click OK.
A message window reports progress of script generation.
